Mini landscape

Walking in the woods yesterday, I found a small ants colony, certainly recent because Southern wood ants can built nests up to 2 m high! A real mini town… I followed the workers up to a pine tree I still have to identify for sure. You will find a detail of the tree in the “Abstract” gallery . The cracks in the bark made me think of a canyon.

A little farther, along the path, a tree lying down was sheltering a big yellow mushroom with a tiny spider between its layers. There are times where I’d like to become a Minimoy…
