Purple-shot Copper

I recently took photos of butterflies (visit  Insects > Butterflies). I ‘ve noticed that using a long, even a very long lens gives very interesting results: The background is blurred, enhancing the insect and most of all, as you need quite an important focusing distance, you disturb less than with  a macro lens, like a 50 mm. I still have to test with a 100-105 mm.

The tricky thing is the weight of the lens that you end to feel after a few shots. So, I made plenty of photos to be sure one or two would be in focus. I checked on my rear screen, but a more precise check is required on the computer. Fortunately on this kind of long lenses, the stab is particularly efficient.
